The Company

Since 1980 La Datina has been selecting exclusive carpets and furniture. At the beginning the company’s focus was only antique, but since the nineties, La Datina has also dealt with contemporary hand-made carpets, by partnering with the best international brands. In addition, thanks to world-wide experience combined with its Italian flair, La Datina has recently introduced the brand Datina Studio, creating its own rug collection.

The Brands

Under the distributing brand Datina Group, La Datina deals with carpets created by the finest international companies, such as Fort Street Studio, Warp & Weft, Odegard Carpets, Forme and the celebrated Gio Ponti Carpet Collection by Amini, inspired by Italian architect’s works. Under the manufactoring  brand Datina Studio, La Datina itself creates hand-made rugs and carpets, available in collection or bespoke, for residential and contract projects.

The Quality

Made from the finest hand-dyed and spun natural yarns, such as Himalayan wool and pure wild silk but also available in bamboo silk and viscose, carpets and rugs from La Datina collections are crafted according traditional techniques: hand knotted, hand tufted or hand woven.

The Production

All the carpets and rugs are hand-made by truly skilled weavers, using old production methods. La Datina follows GoodWeave philosophy, in order to stop child labor and support children from Nepal, India and Afghanistan in educational opportunities.
